Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Calent Health website and patient portal. Calent Health is Banda Berry Health Services, Professional Corporation, dba Calent Health (“Calent,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or portal, you agree to them. Your care itself is also governed by the consent and financial forms you sign as a patient. Those forms govern clinical care and payment; these terms govern use of the website and portal.
Not for emergencies
The website, portal, email and text messages are not for emergencies, and no one watches them around the clock. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
What telehealth can and can’t do
Many visits happen by secure video. Telehealth works well for much of psychiatric care, but it has limits: we can’t examine you in person, technology can fail, and some situations need in-person or emergency care. Your clinician may recommend an in-person visit, a different level of care, or a referral when that’s safer or more appropriate.
Who can use the portal
- Our services and the portal are for adults 18 and older. Use the portal only for your own care, or as a legally authorized representative of an adult patient.
- Our clinicians can only treat you while you are physically located in a state where they are licensed. You agree to tell us truthfully where you are at each visit, including when you travel. If you are outside a state where your clinician is licensed, contact us before your visit to discuss scheduling or other care options.
- You agree to give us accurate information about yourself.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account. If you think someone else has access, tell us right away at hello@calent.health. We may suspend an account to protect you or the practice.
Using the site and portal
Please don’t:
- access anyone else’s information or account;
- try to break, probe, overload or get around the security of the site or portal;
- use automated tools to collect data from them;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you don’t have the right to share;
- harass or threaten our staff or clinicians.
Payment
Calent is self-pay: we don’t bill insurance directly. We tell you our fees before your visit, and payment is due as described in our financial policy. On request we can give you a superbill to submit to your insurer yourself; we can’t promise your insurer will reimburse you. See our fees page for prices and information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us about payment, cancellation and refund terms before scheduling.
Information on the site
General information on the website is not medical advice for you. Medical advice comes from your clinician, in a visit or a portal message.
Limitation of liability
We work to keep the site and portal available and accurate, but they are provided “as is,” and we can’t promise they will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits your rights or our liability for professional care where the law does not allow that limitation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you about important changes.
