SMS Terms
The program
Calent Health patient messages is the text message program of Banda Berry Health Services, Professional Corporation, dba Calent Health. If you opt in, we may text you:
- appointment reminders and confirmations, including changes and cancellations;
- two-way conversations with your care team: you can text us a request, such as a scheduling question, and our staff will reply.
We don’t send marketing or promotional texts through this program. Messages come from (866) 477-4119.
How you opt in
You choose whether to receive texts. You can opt in by checking the text-message box in the patient portal, or by telling our staff that you agree to receive texts, which they record in your chart. You don’t have to agree to texts to get care from us.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies, depending on your appointments and on how often you text us. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message at any time. We’ll send one text confirming you’ve been unsubscribed, and then no more texts unless you opt in again. To opt back in, reply START, or update your preference in the portal. Stopping texts doesn’t affect your care; we’ll reach you by email, phone or the portal instead.
Help
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email us at hello@calent.health.
Texting isn’t private, and it isn’t for emergencies
Not for emergencies. Texts aren’t monitored 24/7, and replies come during business hours. Response times vary; do not wait for a text reply when you need urgent care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
- Standard text messages aren’t encrypted end to end. Your phone carrier and anyone who can see your phone may be able to read them.
- Please don’t text sensitive details such as symptoms, medications, diagnoses or test results. Use the patient portal for anything private.
- Our texts keep health details out, too. When we have something private to tell you, we’ll ask you to sign in to the portal.
- Texts you send us may become part of your medical record.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage.

Your text opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the service providers that operate our messaging on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices.
